   About me, besides my art:

I was born in Székesfehérvár (Hungary) in 1974.

I graduated from a technical secondary school with an excellent graduation.
After I turned 18, I lived in Budapest for a long time, and then in 2018 we moved back to my hometown.
I get many years of experience as sales representative in Budapest.
In the meantime, I completed a vocational education in computer-controlled (CNC) cutting machines and worked in this profession for a year.
Starting in 2020, I studied some IT topics, such as advanced Excel course and computer programming (Java language.)
I edit all parts of this website myself.
I have basic English language skills (approx. A2~B1 level, mainly reading and writing).

ARS  POETICA  AND  MY  ART:

I'm Gellert Varga, a self-educated painter from HHungary, who likes to paint beautiful things - in contrast with  some  "modern"   "artistical"  trends...

I like admiring and perpetuating the beauties of the nature, for example.

My opinion is that we should throw our problems out of our heads as often as possible and pay attention to the world around us: perceive and admire everything that is beautiful and good. Don't focus on the bad news on TV and in the newspapers... focus on the positive! Doing it this way will make your feeling and life better.:)

I really enjoy rich colors and painting them.

I paint panorama pictures in the open air, but I like painting based on photos, too.

My favourites are the landscapes and the nature. (You can see these below.)

self-portrait
I really like nature and beautiful views

I like also the supernatural and mystical things.
(For example, You can see painting number 20 below, or
click here to see paintings II./6, II./10, and II./13.)

But sometimes I paint portraits also, and I made some decorated wall paintings, too. (Below You can see these, too.)

The most of my paintings are made with acrylic paint. Acrylic is a modern artistical paint, an invention of the chemistry of 20th century. In fact this is a kind of the plastics. The dried coat of acrylic is water resistant, sunlight resistant, and elastic. Consequently it's more lasting than oil-paints: acrylic will never become cracked and darker.

NOTE:  On the lower part of the above painting on the right side You can read my signature written by the very old hungarian runic characters. The exact name of this writing is "szekely-hungarian rovash".  This is thousands of years old, but the violent christian conversion forbade it about one thousand years ago. You have to read it from the right to the left, and it's written to there:
V.GELLÉRT  2013.
